About us

Herbert Insurance Group Limited is registered in Australia.  We operate insurance broking houses in both Australia and New Zealand. Our combined team of  40 skilled staff operate from our offices in Southport, Queensland and Auckland's CBD and are backed by our established network of "Retail Brokers" in various parts of  Australia and New Zealand. Coupled with our extensive international connections, our local team truly operates globally. 

We advise, arrange and place Commercial, Property, Liability, Financial, Motor, Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Marine, Life & Disability, Travel, Medical and Prize Indemnity insurance covers as well as Personal (including Domestic and Residential) and Rural Insurance.  As a member of  NIBA and CQIB, and with more than 27 years in the business, we have developed many connections in the international markets, including Lloyd's of London where we are accredited "Cover holders".

Herbert Insurance Group Limited  is also a member of  IBNA, a national network with around 85 broker members who have their own insurance facilities and unique policies to benefit clients.  IBNA has recently joined with Austbrokers and InsuranceAdviserNet to form AIMs, a buying Group that places more than $2,500,000,000 into the Australian Market alone. A & I Members Services P/L (AIMS) provides services for the collective benefit of Austbrokers and IBNA members with the undertaking of joint marketing activities, strategic alliances and providing shared services and resources to give members favourable policy wordings and financial outcomes with underwriters and service providers.

AIMS mission is to capitalise on the strength of the network to deliver value to their Members and their clients, and their Underwriter Partners.
